Title – „Handprints“
I’ve never been to Nordwestbahnhof before this course. Of course I saw this area on Google maps, and to be honest-I was pretty interested what is there. And I was bit surprised to see a lot of trash on the territory of the station. I mean old TVs, boxes, papers, books, car seats and so on. Because Vienna is a really clean city. But I didn’t know what to expect from CARGO-railway station. And I’ve found out a lot of interesting things and also the different architecture. You can see how the railway station was developing through the time. I took a lot of different photos, unfortunately I will not show them all, because I’ve decided to create a small serie of the photos which I called – “Handprints”. The idea of the title is – the history of this place, which was made and which is still making the people who are working there. Lots of different people with the different professions and the way of their lifes are working there. And I think it is necessary to remember about this when you are looking at any kind of things which are surrounding you there. And from the other point “Handprints” show us some action in the life, make us believe that some things which looked to be unuseful are still in use and continuing their lifes.
